EuroChamber Mongolia held a meeting with the Ambassador of Luxembourg, bringing together leadership to discuss opportunities for strengthening bilateral cooperation and economic engagement.

The meeting highlighted the significance of 2026 as a milestone year, marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Luxembourg, as well as 25 years of development cooperation. Both sides expressed interest in commemorating these anniversaries in Mongolia, reflecting the strong and growing partnership between the two countries.

Discussions covered a range of areas for potential collaboration, including sustainable finance, green energy, and financial sector development. The Luxembourg side shared insights into its expertise in green finance and explored opportunities to support capacity building, including financial training and institutional cooperation.

Participants also exchanged views on advancing renewable energy initiatives and developing bankable projects, with a focus on improving access to sustainable financing. The role of Mongolia’s financial institutions was noted, including recent developments in green and social bond issuance.

The meeting concluded with a shared interest in deepening cooperation across key sectors and exploring practical initiatives that can contribute to Mongolia’s sustainable and inclusive growth.
