Trade and Development Bank of Mongolia

Trade and Development Bank (TDB) JSC was established in 1990 as a state-owned bank and is the oldest commercial bank in Mongolia. In the 1990s it played a central role in the country’s move to a market economy. It has since helped finance foreign trade, mining, energy and infrastructure. Today it holds about half of Mongolia’s corporate banking market and serves leading Mongolian and international companies. It also serves retail and SME customers. TDB became a publicly listed company in 2023 and opened a representative office in Tokyo in 2014. The bank has made green finance a priority and was the first in Mongolia’s banking sector to set up a sustainable development committee.
