Kite Mongolia


Kite Mongolia is an innovation-driven organization that supports startups, social innovators, creators, and digital transformation in Mongolia. Since becoming operational in 2020, Kite has grown into a central platform connecting Mongolian entrepreneurs with global accelerators, investors, and innovation networks. The organization works across creative industries, tech entrepreneurship, social impact, and ecosystem development, partnering with major international programs and institutions.


Kite runs accelerator programs, startup support initiatives, ecosystem mapping projects, pitch events, and international collaborations. The organization is known for driving social innovation, empowering women-led startups, building youth programs, and representing Mongolia at major global innovation stages.


Kite Mongolia works closely with partners such as ADB Ventures, UNDP, JICA, She Loves Tech, Stewardship Asia Centre and multiple regional innovation communities. Their events and collaborations bring Mongolian founders into international markets including Japan, Singapore, the UAE, Finland, Korea, Central Asia, and Europe.


The Kite advisor network includes recognized professionals and thought leaders such as Robert W. van Zwieten, Suvda Myagmar, B. Bilegsaikhan, Bilguun Dashdorj, Bolor Jargalsaikhan (PhD), and Zack Batzaya. These advisors strengthen Kite’s global connections and strategic direction.


Kite Mongolia’s yearly activities demonstrate rapid growth and consistent impact:


In 2024, Kite organized and participated in major events including special screenings of “If Only I Could Hibernate,” CreativeTech Popup Day at DIG Shibuya, the final pitch event of MICS 2023, UB Startup Day, meetings with Wales’ Department for Business & Trade, pitch nights with Mobicom Group, EuroChamber’s “Funding HER Dreams,” ICT Week Uzbekistan, She Loves Tech Central Asia, UNDP’s “If Only I Could Go Solar,” Animo Festival, DX CUP Mongolia, Tampere Film Festival screening day, INNOWEEK 2024, and Social Innovation Week 2024. Kite also became the She Loves Tech Regional Partner for Central and North Asia and was recognized as an SL25 Honouree by Stewardship Asia Centre.


In 2023, Kite participated in the 12th Annual Investment Meeting in Abu Dhabi, Cannes activities for “If Only I Could Hibernate,” World Export Development Forum (WEDF), INNOWEEK, Social Innovation Week, DX Cup Mongolia, the MICS 2023 program including launch, mentoring, mid-term events, She Loves Tech Mongolia, EuroChamber Innovation & Digitalisation Working Group events, the SLT Global Conference, the Mongolian Animation Association’s hackathon, “Zero Waste Self Expression” exhibition, and the Tampera Yellow Bus initiative.


In 2022, Kite launched the Mongolian Startup Ecosystem Survey with JICA support, launched the KodUpNomads program for children and youth, prepared Social Innovation Week 2022 with ADB Ventures, hosted She Loves Tech 2022, and ran its second accelerator cohort.


In 2021, Kite raised its first philanthropic capital to support social innovation, launched Social Innovation Week 2021, partnered with She Loves Tech Mongolia, joined Dubai Expo 2020 / AIM 2022 as a startup partner, and signed MoUs with Underdogs Korea and the UB Science and Innovation Agency.


In 2020, Kite became fully operational, partnered with ADB Ventures in Mongolia, and launched its first accelerator cohort.


Kite Mongolia supports startups such as WeTrade, Nomch, KodUpNomads, and TEME. The organization continues to expand its impact through events, partnerships, media outreach, ecosystem-building programs, and innovation leadership in Mongolia.


Kite Mongolia positions itself as a catalyst for innovation, an international connector, and a platform that elevates Mongolian talent onto the global stage.
