The Board consisting of 12 Directors is elected by the members at EuroChamber’s Annual General Meeting every February by majority vote. A representative of the EU Delegation attends the Board meetings and acts as the liaison officer with the EU Delegation. The Board’s Executive Committee and EuroChamber’s staff manage the daily operations of the Chamber.

Ms. Klaartje Genbrugge – President, Board Member

Founder – Madame Seguine

Ms. Klaartje Genbrugge has background in law and investment banking. She founded her own fashion brand – Madame Seguine from 2010 and has been a prominent member of the European business community in Mongolia. Now retailing on 3 continents and has featured on European catwalks and in magazines including Vogue. As an SME designer & manufacturer based in Mongolia, she has hands-on experience on what it is like to be in the small to medium enterprise sector and understands every aspect of the challenges of doing business in Mongolia, Europe and between both.

“As a newly elected board member, I would focus my attention on Eurochamber members involved in trade between Europe and Mongolia and sustainable projects and regulations that influence practical trade. It is important for members to be informed and experience what Eurochamber is doing for them and what it can do for them.”

Ms. Genbrugge holds a Master’s degree in Law & Economics from the Ugent University in Belgium, her academic institutions include Erasmus University in Rotterdam, University of Hamburg and University of Bologna.

Mr. Nasantulga Siizkhuu – Vice President, Board Member

Chief Executive Director – CRM

Mr. Nasantulga has over 20 years of strategic leadership and business development in the trade sector. A collaborative team player who prioritizes personnel dynamics, transparency and professional development. Currently working as the CEO for an exclusive distributor of French multinational corporation “Pernod Ricard” with CRM LLC in Mongolia, representing major brands in spirits and wine industry.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Business Institute of Pennsylvania, USA.
His academic background includes a Economics Degree from Chiba University, Japan.

Dr. Dashdorj Dugersuren – Secretary, Founding Board Member

Chief Executive Officer – Termigas Impianti Technology LLC

Dr. Dashdorj Dugersuren is the CEO of Termigas Impianti Technology LLC. His corporate experience includes managing engineering projects in construction, light industries, and chemicals, as well as importing and distributing products from Europe to Mongolia. He previously worked and consulted for companies such as Ansalco, a Finmeccanica subsidiary in electrical engineering, and Loro Piana, in cashmere processing. Termigas Impianti Technology LLC is a founding member of EuroChamber and Dashdorj was the chamber’s treasurer in 2020. He graduated from National University of Mongolia with bachelors degree in physics, and obtained Masters and PhD in physics from North Carolina State University, USA. After completing his doctorate, he conducted research for five years at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California, USA, where he published several dozen articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals.

Mr. Ariunjargal Jamiyansharav – Treasurer, Founding Board Member

Mr. Ariunjargal Jamiyansharav obtained Accounting & Finance degree in the American College Dublin, Dublin Ireland. After graduation in 2011 he joined Bank of Ireland group accounting team. He worked from 2012 until 2016 for PricewaterhouseCoopers Audit LLC as senior consultant in Mongolia. He worked as senior consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers Slovensko s.r.o from 2016 until 2017 in Slovakia. From 2017 until 2019 he was working for HLB Mongolia Audit LLC as Executive Director. From 2019 he is founder and CEO of ARINET Associates LLC.

Mr. Mark Gabel – Founding Board Member

Mr. Mark Gabel re-joined MSM Group in May 2018. He obtained a Business Economist degree in the University of Hanover and Automotive Engineer Master Degree with Award from the Bavarian State Administration Germany. He worked from 1999 until 2006 for Daimler AG as Retail consultant and Service Manager in Germany, the US and South Korea. He worked as Vice President Industrial & Automotive for MSM from 2006 until 2011 in Mongolia. From 2011 until 2015 he was working for Volvo Group as General Manager Singapore and Managing Director Indonesia. From 2016 to 2017 Mark Gabel was Vice President Schaeffler Industrial South East Asia.

Mr. Oliver Thirlwall – Board member

Managing Director – WeLend Capital NBFI
Oliver Thirlwall has been in Mongolia since 2013, his activities focus on finance and real estate. He is currently the founder of WeLend Capital, a non-bank financial institution operating in UB and he  manages the Mongolia Real Estate Growth Fund, a fund that invested in commercial property in downtown UB. Prior to coming to Mongolia, Oliver worked in China for many years, primarily in private equity real estate for Merrill Lynch where he participated in a range of investments including Pre-IPO finance, acquisitions of commercial real estate and real estate development financings.

Mr. Oliver Thirlwall has an MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona and a BA from the University of Sydney. Oliver is fluent in Mandarin and speaks two European languages.

Mr. Hannes Takacs – Founding Board Member

Mr. Hannes Takacs is an experienced executive manager, investment banker and non-executive board director with a well established international network, covering bank and non-bank financial institutions, private sector companies as well as governments and regulatory authorities in the countries he worked in. He has acquired a wealth of work experience across four continents and more than 50 countries. He was a strategic adviser to management boards of various institutions and has served on six boards of directors/supervisory boards as non-executive director.

Mr. Hannes Takacs holds a MBA with distinction in Business Administration and Educational Management from the University of Leicester, UK, and is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).

Mr. Steve Potter – Board Member

Chairman of the Board, British Association for Trade and Commerce in Mongolia

Co-Founder & Senior Advisor, Taskonir Trading

Mr. Steve Potter has 40 years experience in 10 countries on 3 continents. Strong mining industry experience, plus a well-rounded knowledge of all segments of business with a focus on sales, marketing and operations, learned over a career spanning sales & marketing, management to executive leadership.

His professional experience in Mongolia includes top management roles at Enerel International LLC distributor of Porsche & Jaguar Land Rover Automobiles, Wagner Asia Equipment LLC, distributor of Caterpillar. He is involved in a number of professional organisations and NGOs including British Association for Trade & Commerce in Mongolia, Founder Institute/Exponential Partners, Misheel Kids Foundation, American Chamber of Commerce, Mongolia, PMI Mongolia Chapter, Seedrock Capital LLC and QSDC.

He has BA Hons, Economics, Geography and Certificate in Education [Commendation] from the University of Keele, England; MBA, Industrial Marketing from Scottish Business School/University of Edinburgh, Scotland, UK; “Bilsen” Business Simulation at INSEAD, Switzerland and Mining Certificate from Colorado School of Mines, Denver, USA.

Mr. Norihiko Kato – Board Member

CEO, Golomt Bank

Norihiko Kato has a long career in commercial banking. He worked in the area of corporate banking at MUFG Bank in New York, Tokyo, Amsterdam and Bahrain. After leaving MUFG Bank in 2009, he served acting, and then, permanent CEO of Khan Bank from 2011 to 2016. From 2016 to 2019, he was CEO of Sathapana Bank in Cambodia, which was formed by merging with a major microfinance institution. He also served as the first chairman of the Sustainable Finance Committee of the Cambodian Bankers Association.

In May 2019, Norihiko became CEO of Golomt Bank. He also served as Chairman of the Mongolian Sustainable Finance Association and Vice Chairman of the Mongolian Bankers Association from 2021-2022. He is an advocate for sustainable finance.

He has a BA in Economics from the University of Tokyo, and he earned his MBA from the UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management in the United States.

Ms. Batzul Gerelsaikhan – Board Member

Executive Director, Erel Properties

Ms. Batzul Gerelsaikhan is an experienced executive manager and board member with a well established international and local network, covering real estate, construction, private equity, mining, NGO and professional services firms in the countries she worked in. She has a strong focus on people management, brand management, business development, strategy, sales, and sustainability.
Currently, Ms. Batzul is the Executive Director of the Properties Department at Erel LLC; and a Managing Director at Choijin Suites serviced apartments. She works closely with Erel Group’s world-class prefab factory to offer energy-efficiency, speed and quality to the Company’s clients. She is also the Co-Founder & Chairperson of the Board at the Hobby School Alumni Association NGO; and Founding Member of Mongolian Chamber of Trade and Commerce in Singapore.
Previously, Ms. Batzul was based in Hong Kong as the Public Relations Director at Asia Pacific Investment Partners Limited; Executive Director of the Mongolian Chamber of Commerce (“MonCham”) in Hong Kong; and Reporting Consultant at Vivar Resources Limited. She has a finance background as she began her career with PwC and SkyPath Partners in Mongolia. She also served as Board Member at Economists Without Borders in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Ms. Batzul holds a BSc. Economics from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. She is fluent in Mongolian and English.
