On September 26th, 2024, EuroChamber Mongolia organized the event “Global Race for Critical Raw Materials: A Role for Mongolia,” featuring distinguished guests H.E. Ina Marčiulionytė, EU Ambassador to Mongolia, and Ms. Jargalan Batbayar, Member of Parliament of Mongolia.
Mr. Salvatore Berger, responsible for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship, and SMEs at the European Commission, delivered a presentation on the European Critical Raw Materials Act, outlining the EU’s strategy for critical raw materials.
The event also featured a panel discussion with rare earth elements project developers, exploring Mongolia’s potential role in the global supply chain of critical materials. The discussion addressed the challenges faced by project developers and offered recommendations for the government and other stakeholders.
