On December 5, 2023, EuroChamber’s International Trade Working Group convened its monthly meeting at Tuushin LLC, an esteemed member of EuroChamber Mongolia.
The session began with opening remarks by Ms. Klaartje Genbrugge, President of Eurochamber Mongolia and Chairwoman of the International Trade Working Group. The meeting delved into the topic of “Road Transport Challenges – Import and Export,” featuring presentations by Mr. Khishigdorj Davaasambuu, Export Manager, Freight Planning Department, Tuushin LLC, and Ms. Tuul Ishdorj, Head of TIR & LTL Department, Tuushin LLC.

During the Q&A session of the event, participants voiced concerns and shared challenges associated with importing and exporting via road. The disruption of railway transport due to the war in Ukraine led Mongolia to increasingly depend on road transport. Additionally, sanctions on specific products imported by both sides resulted in prolonged transportation times and increased transportation costs. In addition, the issue of recognizing Mongolian driver’s licenses for drivers operating in European countries was raised by the participants.
