EuroChamber Health Working Group successfully organized its first meeting with representatives from the pharmaceutical industry. The group discussed challenges in the pharmaceutical registration process, including the requirement to register medical equipment, the bureaucratic hurdles in registering new pharmaceuticals, and the complications arising from changes in multinational company names. While the new Special Licenses Law was intended to be liberal and business-friendly, its impact on the health sector has been negative, creating obstacles for healthcare companies, such as the requirement to register all healthcare equipment. Discussions are ongoing about joint procurement by the private and public sectors, which could attract large medical equipment producers.
